Inglis Media Release Easter Yearling Sale Update | 26 March 2020

To assist vendors and buyers during this difficult time we have decided to conduct the 2020 Easter Yearling Sale in two rounds.

We feel two rounds (or offerings) is most important as some vendors who are not located in the Hunter Valley have not had as many inspections as others.

We also recognise that many buyers have not been able to undertake inspections.

Two rounds provides everyone with greater flexibility, with our goal being to provide a vital service to our industry – to keep trade in place between breeders and buyers.

It is really important that the industry remains united, that vendors hold firm and support the tradition of the Easter Sale and put the good of the industry first and foremost.

Round 1 of the Easter Yearling Sale will be conducted as a Digital Auction from April 5th – 8th, with no horses at the Riverside complex.

The bidding portal will be accessible through www.inglis.com.au from April 5th at 10am, with each lot to sell sequentially in lot order from 10am Tuesday April 7th, completing on April 8th.

The majority of vendors have committed to providing quality videos and photos for the sale, as well as the standard submissions such as x-rays and video scopes which will be accessible by veterinarians in the online repository.

A number of vendors have also committed to disclosing other necessary information and all vendors will be contactable in advance of and during the sale.

All existing Inglis Digital Accounts and Inglis Online Bidding accounts are eligible for this sale.

Existing registered bidders simply need to login and request bidding approval/credit for the Easter Sale.

Existing and new digital customers simply need to CLICK HERE and follow prompts.

Standard credit approval requirements will apply.

Yearlings are available for inspection by appointment on farm with all confirmed vendors listed below.

We encourage potential buyers to undertake on farm inspections where possible or seek assistance from agents, trainers or Inglis bloodstock staff who have been busy inspecting horses over the past few weeks.

We will make available a list of contacts who can help upon request.

Round 2 of the Easter Yearling Sale is being planned as a live auction at Riverside Stables on Sunday July 5 (subject to conditions being suitable to hold a physical sale by then).

We will monitor developments from the Coronavirus outbreak and assess closer to the date if a further delay is needed or if Round 2 will also need to be held online.

Please note that some vendors have withdrawn from the Easter Sale whilst other vendors may choose to defer involvement until Easter Round 2.

We are encouraging all vendors to offer their yearlings during Round 1 online if possible, and Round 2 if their yearlings are not sold during Round 1.

At this stage, some vendors have relocated their drafts to more convenient locations, with details below of what we are currently aware of:

Burke Bloodstock – Available for inspection at Dalama, Scone

Edinburgh Park – Available for inspection at Inglis Riverside till PM on Tuesday and then at Whispering Pines, Oakdale

Highgrove – Available for inspection at Newgate Farm

KBL Thoroughbreds – Available for inspection at Inglis Riverside till PM on Tuesday
